Thanks so much for sharing about the trip, Carissa! You should totally come!
Omg I did not understand that bookbinding was a legit hobby and now I need to see everything. Does it take hundreds of hours? Do you do it by candlelight? Do you feel like you're living in a medieval monastery while doing it?? Look at all my questions!
Oh man I’d really like to! Ireland is my bucket list place for sure. If any generous soul is looking to pay for some lucky person to join y’all, I’m your girl 😉
I had no idea bookbinding was a real hobby either until I started; maybe I’ll write more about it some time. I’m still pretty new to it (only 2 years) but I can make a journal from start to finish in under 2 hours. No candlelight yet but I’m hoping to get good enough that I can fully embrace the medieval monastic vibes 📚
I love when people just share the things they love! It’s so fun! I’m glad you’re interested in the bookbinding content—books (handmade included) are better when shared 😉
Congrats on the solo parenting - that is no small feat. The 1k Outside challenge has also been so motivating to us as well - and really saved my sanity many times! I think we got to around 750 this year. Excited to start again!
That Little Women edition is STUNNING. I absolutely want to see more of the bookbinding!

I just started the Maisie Dobbs series, too! 🙂
I just finished Book 1 this morning and I enjoyed it. I would definitely pick up the second one next time I’m looking for a mystery. Happy Reading!
1. Yes to these types of posts.
2. Yes to ALL the bookbinding content
3. Cheers to you for making it through the solo parenting!
